Hello, and welcome to Yellowbird Virtual Solutions. My name is Loring Allen, and like a little yellow bird, I maintain a positive outlook on life, and know that when I trust myself, I will always find a way forward by tapping into my superpowers. This is the energy I bring to my clients every day.
I have over 30 years of business workflow, marketing, and administrative experience in a broad range of companies.
I spent the majority of my career working in a variety of roles in Corporate America, mainly in marketing services. I enjoyed it immensely. The 360-degree perspective I gained allows me to offer up solutions to help others grow their business.
I’ve also handled office relocations, meetings and events, website reviews, published newsletters, written executive communications, managed budgets, and designed process improvements. I enjoy the challenge of figuring out how to solve a problem and make things run smoothly. That superpower earned me the reputation as the person who can get “it” done.
I’ve worn many “hats” and taken on varied projects which offered me the opportunity to learn from, and work with, some amazing, smart people.
Change, however, sets us on new paths. In 2020, when we all went into forced hibernation and the world turned upside down, I decided to go into business for myself.
Courage to take risks can be a humbling learning experience. Oh, the things I did not know but I trusted myself and my capabilities to show me the way. I eagerly rolled up my sleeves to make “it” happen. Everything from establishing a business entity, accounting, and insurance, to hiring, training, and generating clients all fell on me.
Today, I use my collective business experiences to run Yellowbird Virtual Solutions. It’s been born from listening to my heart, feedback from others about what I do best, as well as tapping into all the help I’ve given to family and friends with their tech questions, administrative tasks, and odd projects that needed some support.
I am now hired by small business owners and solo professionals on a contract basis as their part-time “virtual assistant and business manager”, helping them make more money, more efficiently, and with less stress. I even help individuals with personal administration needs.
I live in Greenwich, CT with my husband, Stuart, and spend my free time visiting our grown children, playing pickleball and golf, reading, cooking, and traveling.
